Quality

Our enterprise, GROSCHOPP AG in Viersen, develops, designs, manufactures and distributes electrical drives for a multitude of applications. To enable us to provide the best possible, complete and broad product-range for our customers, we also offer electronic control units manufactured by renowned and quality-conscientious suppliers.

In order to enhance our own image on the market, and to enable us to meet possible future customer demands, a Quality-Management-System according to DIN EN ISO 9001 was introduced at GROSCHOPP AG already in 1994, which was certified in 1995.

Furthermore, within the framework of a continuous actualization and development of our Quality-Management- System, the stipulations as laid down in DIN EN ISO 9001 (Revision of Standards 12.2000) were integrated from mid-2002 to mid-2003, as well as the regulations according to DIN EN ISO 14001 (Revision of Standards 2004) and the theme "work-safety" in early 2005. These actualizations also provided a welcome opportunity to have a re-think about existing regulations, to modify the structures in place and to re-organize the existing extent of Quality- Management documentation to cater for present and future needs of our company. By doing this, we will achieve a continuous, systematical quality improvement of our products, so that the expectations of our customers can always be fulfilled.

Naturally, not only with the introduction of the Management-System are all our work processes systematically planned and documented, but they are an integral part of the company policy of GROSCHOPP AG ever since its foundation in 1922; for example, as a daily routine, the production processes are monitored via written work instructions (so-called "AW's") for more than 30 years. That is why it was not difficult for us to introduce an appropriate Management-System according to DIN EN ISO 9001 and to have it certified shortly afterwards. For this to happen, only some minor demands listed in the standards, which were not established in our company until then, had to be integrated into our existing Management-System. With the introduction of the Quality-Management- System in 1994 it was also necessary to build up for the first time a systematically structured Quality- Management documentation, with which - besides production processes - all other existing, quality-relevant processes within the company could be regulated, documented and become obligatory and binding for the entire enterprise.
